Other Users of the R4300i

Like many embedded and consumer market CPUs, the R4300i is used in a variety of different products, eg. SMART Modular Technologies' SMARTengine/43PCI and SMARTengine/43NET network controllers and Hewlett-Packard's Entria II and Envizex II Java-capable Netstations.

Other users of MIPS CPUs in general (this list is from QED's web site):

Sony Playstation home game system General Instruments digital cable set-top box Hewlett-Packard 4000 series laser printer Echostar DISH satellite TV set-top box WebTV-Microsoft/Sony/Philips web-browsing set-top box Cisco high-end and mid-range network routers BayNet high-end network switches Newbridge Networks high-end ATM switches Fore/Alantec ATM switches/hubs Electronics for Imaging Fiery XJE high-end laser printer engines Adobe Postscript laser printer reference design Canon Laser Printers Okidata Laser Printers QMS Laser Printers Midway Video Arcade games Atari Video Arcade games Hewlett Packard Network Computers Philips Velo1 series Windows CE PDA NEC Mobil Pro Windows CE PDA Sharp Mobilon Windows CE PDA Casio Cassiopeia series Windows CE PalmPC Philips Nino series Windows CE PalmPC NCD thin client Tektronix network computer

It's a similar story with the much more powerful R5000 CPU, a chip with advanced internal single precision floating point optimisations (400MFLOPS 32bit at 200MHz). Most SGI users will know of its use in the Indy and O2 desktop workstations, yet derivatives are also used in the SMARTengine/50PCI network controller and EFI's Fiery XJ+325 and Fiery XJ+400 colour print servers (plus many other devices).
