See after the tables for various observations. Key (all GPU clocks are given as 'Core/Shader/RAM' or 'Core/Boost/RAM'; a single number refers to just the core clock): RX 580 = PowerColor Red Devil RX 580 8GB, default 1190/2000 core/RAM. GTX 780 Ti = EVGA GTX 780 Ti 3GB (Reference cooler), stock @ 980/1046/1750 core/boost/RAM (stabilises under load at around 1125MHz). GTX 1060 = Gigabyte GTX 1060 6GB Windforce, stock @ 1557/1772/2002 core/boost/RAM (stabilises under load at around 1924MHz). VRAM usage is as follows (this is peak usage): 1080p: VERY LOW: 493MB LOW: 685MB MEDIUM: 1116MB HIGH: 1389MB VERY HIGH: 1399MB Ultra DX11: 1570MB UDX11/DOF: 1783MB 1440p: VERY LOW: 589MB LOW: 827MB MEDIUM: 1329MB HIGH: 1576MB VERY HIGH: 1602MB Ultra DX11: 1839MB UDX11/DOF: 2259MB Avg fps scales as follows with detail level at 1080p: VERY LOW: 290.0 LOW: 248.7 MEDIUM: 221.6 HIGH: 203.4 VERY HIGH: 178.3 Ultra DX11: 149.8 UDX11/DOF: 124.5 Avg fps scales as follows with detail level at 1440p: VERY LOW: 245.2 LOW: 191.2 MEDIUM: 157.3 HIGH: 141.9 VERY HIGH: 117.3 Ultra DX11: 104.8 UDX11/DOF: 83.8 CPU usage is not much, only seems to use five threads (hence there being little gain when moving from 4GHz to 5GHz). For older GPUs, MEDIUM should be fine with performance still good; if you have the VRAM then use VERY HIGH. For anything modern, just max it out. Interesting to note though that, compared to using the 2700K @ 5GHz with a 780 Ti, losing the HT hurts a lot more than having a much lower 4GHz clock, but the performance difference is quite small.
